Eileen DeCesare, RN, MS, CNAA, LNC is founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Professional Healthcare Resources, Inc.
Mrs. DeCesare has over 36 years of experience in Clinical Nursing and Nursing Education, Nursing Administration and public service. Among her many positions in nursing management and administration, Mrs. DeCesare served as Deputy Director, Division of Nursing and Director of Nursing Systems at D.C. General Hospital prior to establishing Professional Healthcare Resources, Inc. in 1994. In 1996, she formed a second agency - Professional Healthcare Resources International, Inc. and in 1997 received SBA section 8(a) certification for Professional Healthcare Resources , Inc. In 1997 she founded a third agency, Professional Healthcare Resources of Washington, D.C., a home healthcare agency.
Mrs. DeCesare has received many certifications, honors and awards. They include Legal Nurse Consultant, Certification in Nursing Administration, Advanced; inclusion in Sigma Theta Tau's 100 Extraordinary Nurses in the District of Columbia in1993; St. Luke's Nursing Alumni Foundation, USA Outstanding Alumni, 1994; Who's Who in America; 2002 Honored Professional in Who's Who in Executives and Professionals.
She has also served as a volunteer and officer in many community and charitable organizations. In 1991, Mrs. DeCesare was named as Mrs. Philippines Nation's Capital for her fundraising efforts for the Mrs. Philippines Home for Senior Citizens located in Oxon Hill, Maryland. She has testified before the National Institute of Health on Women's Health and Nursing issues and in 1992 was part of a relief mission to the Philippines providing assistance to victims of the Mount Pinatubo volcanic eruptions which devastated vast areas of that country.
Mrs. DeCesare has been a member of many professional associations including the American Organization of Nurse Executives. She also served as President of the Philippine Nurses Association of Metropolitan Washington and on the Board of Directors of the Philippine Nurses Associations of America.
A graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Quezon City, Philippines, Mrs. DeCesare holds a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from the University of Illinois and a Masters Degree in Public Administration-major in Healthcare Management-from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois.
